Xbox Games with Gold February 2017 free games list news: 'Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime,' 'Star Wars: The Force Unleashed' among free games this February
The Xbox Games with Gold, since its launch, has always offered its loyal Xbox Live Gold subscribers a monthly mix of brand new title releases as well as classic games.
In fact, in January 2017, Xbox Gold subscribers got a chance to download for free game titles such as "World of Van Helsing Deathtrap," "Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition," "The Cave," and "Rayman Origins."
With the first month of the year coming to an end, Microsoft has recently announced four game titles which will be downloadable for free for Xbox Live Gold subscribers for the duration of February 2017.
Perfectly-timed with the upcoming celebration of Valentine's Day, Xbox Live Gold has made the video game "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" available for download, free of charge, beginning Feb. 1 until Feb. 28 for the Xbox One. Originally priced at $14.99, the game has received praise for its bright and charming graphics and its fast-paced gameplay.
"Project Carts Digital Edition" is another game that has been made available to download for free for Xbox One users with Xbox Gold subscription. The game is priced at $29.99, but it is offered free of charge from Feb. 16 until March 15. The game is hailed as one of the most realistic racing simulation games currently available in the market.
Another game included in the February 2017 Xbox free games list is "Monkey Island 2: Special Edition." The game is free of charge for Gold subscribers who own a unit of the Xbox 360 from Feb. 1 to 15. However, the game is also playable on the Xbox One through the console's Backward Compatibility technology. The game has an official price tag of $9.99.
The final game title included in the February Games with Gold list is "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed." Because of Backward Compatibility, the game is available to download and play for free on the Xbox 360 as well as the Xbox One from Feb. 16 until Feb. 28.
To subscribe to the Xbox Live Gold program, interested Xbox users will need to pay an annual fee of $59.99 or a monthly fee of $9.99.
