Xbox Games with Gold November 2016 free games list news: Xbox brings in rock brawlers, ghosts, pirates and a cyber commando
Microsoft has released the official list of free games that Xbox Games with Gold subscribers can enjoy in November. It includes an ID@Xbox (independent developer @ Xbox) title, a mystery stealth game with a supernatural touch, a popular classic and a comedic award-winning first-person shooter.
Continuing on from last month, Xbox One will again be getting two dedicated titles while the Xbox 360 gets two titles that are also playable via the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program. This means that Xbox One owners can avail of all four titles and enjoy double the hours of exciting gameplay.
The independent title "Super Dungeon Bros" is exclusively playable on the Xbox One and is available for free for the entire month of November. Developed by React Games and published by Wired productions, the game goes free for Xbox Live Gold subscribers the same day it launches. The rock-themed dungeon brawler promises a fast-paced, action-focused game that can be played either solo or co-op with up to four companions.
The other Xbox One compatible title is "Murdered: Soul Suspect", which is available from Nov. 16 to Dec. 15. Developed by Airtight Games and published in 2014 by Square Enix, this single-player stealth game takes main protagonist detective Ronan O'Connor on a ghostly quest through Salem to solve his own murder so that he can eventually rejoin his dead wife, Julia.
Free titles for Xbox 360 and Xbox One Backward Compatibility program include the remastered classic "The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition", which is available for free from Nov. 1-30, and the VHS-era video game hit "Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon", which is free from Nov. 16-30.
On "Monkey Island," the player helps a boy named Guybrush Threepwood become the most notorious man in the Caribbean. "Far Cry 3" is about helping Sgt. Rex Colt save the world by annihilating villainous mutants and cyborgs while immersing into the '80s vision of a nuclear future.
