Xbox Live Gold Games September 2016 free games predictions: 'Red Dead Redemption' a good candidate; 'WWE 2k16' free on Aug. 16
It is barely mid-August but Xbox Live Gold subscribers are now starting to speculate about the new game titles that will make it to the list of free games in the Xbox Games With Gold promo for September. There are a number of popular video games rumored to be free through the Games With Gold subscription. As of the moment, "Red Dead Redemption" remains a good candidate to be included in next month's list of free games.
Rockstar Games' highly popular action shooter video game is again predicted to be in the Xbox Games With Gold roster for the month of September. The Bitbag predicted the "Red Dead Redemption" will finally become a featured free game next month.
The players have long been clamoring to have the said game in the monthly roster of free games in Xbox Live Gold, although they can only hope that console creator Microsoft will hear their wishes. So far, neither Microsoft nor Rockstar has confirmed that the "Red Dead" sequel will be a free playable game anytime soon.
The online publication also suspects that "Assassin's Creed: Black Flag" will join "Red Dead Redemption" in the list of free games this September, as well as another first person shooter game, "Dead Rising 3."
The gamers should take the early list of rumored game titles with a grain of salt because Xbox has yet to confirm any video games that will make it to the Xbox Games With Gold promo. It is possible that the updated list for next month will be revealed in the upcoming Gamescom 2016 event in Germany. The gaming event will take place from Aug. 18 to 21.
For now, Xbox Gold members can enjoy the current free games on Xbox One and the older Xbox 360 platform. Starting Aug. 16, "Beyond Good and Evil" and "Warriors Orochi 3" can now be played for free by Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Both games are part of the promo until the end of the month.
On the other hand, "WWE 2k16" will remain free until September 15. In a way, EA's hit sports video game is already included in the list of free games for September.
