Xbox has added six 360 classics to the list of games that are backward compatible. Meanwhile, Xbox is building its way up to become the best gaming console in the market.

The Daily Star confirmed that six Xbox 360 classics have joined the list of games that can be played with the Xbox One through the backward compatibility feature. The Emmy Award-winning director of programming for Xbox Live Larry Hryb announced, through his official Twitter account, the titles that were added to the list.

Recently, he posted that "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion," "Medal of Honor Airborne," "Trine 2," and "Astropop" have been made backward compatible with Xbox One. Aside from these, "Injustice: Gods Among Us" and "Haunted House" were also added to the list a while back.

The total number of Xbox 360 titles that can now be played on the Xbox One are 297, making Microsoft closer to their 300 game milestone for the backward compatibility feature.

PlayStation 4 from Sony still holds the throne for the most popular gaming console in the market. But this year, Xbox has made a lot of noise in the gaming community due to their Xbox One compatibility feature.

According to Adobe, as confirmed by Business Wire, the Microsoft Xbox were among the top five gadgets that were bought on Black Friday, and no PlayStation console was on the list. It appears that Xbox has beaten PlayStation for 2016, dominating in several markets including UK, U.S., and Australia.

Xbox UK marketing director Harvey Eagle shared with GamesIndustry.biz how they have made a powerful impact for this year.

"Momentum is really important in this business, because it gives confidence to retailers, publishers and to consumers. We are giving them confidence that they have made a right point. I think we'll look back on 2016 as a tipping point for Xbox One. And as I look forward to 2017, we have some really great things to look forward to that will help us sustain and build on this momentum, including games like Halo Wars 2 and Sea of Thieves, and of course a new Xbox One console in Project Scorpio," shared Eagle.

Eagle added that Xbox is focusing on converting 360 users to Xbox One, which is the reason for the backward compatibility feature. The new feature will help the Xbox gamers not waste the money they spent on the 360 games when they already want to shift to the updated Xbox One console.
