Xbox One Backward Compatibility list of games: 'Oblivion,' 'MOH: Airborne' and two more added
Four Xbox 360 games are now playable on the Xbox One courtesy of the Backward Compatibility program — "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion," "AstroPop," "Medal of Honor: Airborne," and "Trine 2."
"Oblivion," the fourth installment in Bethesda's popular action role-playing video game series was released back in 2006. While waiting for the much-anticipated "The Elder Scrolls VI," players can bide their time by once again exploring Cyrodill, the province of Tamriel that is featured in the game.
Meanwhile, those who want to enjoy a real-time puzzle game can check out "AstroPop." The title was released in 2004 by PopCap Games. The objective of the game is to clear a specific number of bricks during each level.
The Xbox Backward Compatibility library also added a first-person shooter game in "Medal of Honor: Airborne." The Electronic Arts game set in World War II was made available to the Xbox 360 more than nine years ago. With a paratrooper-based gameplay, players will have to complete missions and objectives. Also with a nonlinear style, one can choose to start in any of the maps which include Italy, northern France, the Netherlands, and Germany.
Finally, the 2011 Atlus title, "Trine 2," allows up to three players who will portray the roles of a wizard named Amadeus, a thief called Zoya and Pontius the knight. In order to succeed in the game, the players will have to work together in fighting a common enemy. To do so, each character comes with unique abilities.
These four new games follow three titles that were released last week — "Burnout Paradise" from EA, "Pure" released by Disney Interactive Studios and "Rayman Legends" developed by Ubisoft.
Since the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program was launched in November 2015, more than 280 games have been added. With the feature currently active, Xbox One players can look forward to more titles to be added next week.
