Xbox One Backwards Compatibility news: Four more games added to roster; 'Black Ops II' removed
Gamers can still remember that the Xbox 360 had some pretty solid games. Games with Gold members still have the opportunity to play them on the Xbox One because of the Backwards Compatibility library. Four more titles have been added to the to the roster and it's sure to bring some classic fun for the players.
In a Twitter post by Xbox community manager Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb, it was announced that the games coming to the Backwhards Compatibility Library are "Jurassic Park: The Game," "Dragon's Lair," "Battlestations: Midway," and "Tour de France 2011."
The titles are coming right after last week's additions which included games like "Puzzle Quest 2," Toy Story 3," "Lost Odyssey," "Guwange," "Puzzle Quest Galactrix," and "Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed."
There is also a possibility that fans can get "Skate 3" and "Blue Dragon" on the Xbox One but there has been no official announcement so far.
Reports also said that "Call of Duty: Black Ops II" was included in the roster for Backwards Compatibility but it was pulled out at the last minute. Since the title is incredibly popular, fans were excited to know that "Black Ops II" was coming.
However, Hryb apologized online, saying, "That was my error. Sorry. Not coming to BC tomorrow."
Some fans, however, took the message in a more positive way because even if the game isn't coming right away, this doesn't mean that the game would never arrive. Hryb technically didn't say "no" to "Black Ops II" being added to the Backwards Compatibility library.
In the meantime, users can make do with the current titles that are available. More are sure to come as time goes by, and "Black Ops II" may be right around the corner.
