Xbox One Games with Gold October 2016 free games list news: Free titles features sports, escape and survival
Xbox Live Gold members are in for another exciting month with four new games added to the Xbox Games with Gold lineup. October's roster of free games includes two titles each for the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 consoles.
The preview video of the four games was released on the official Xbox channel on Wednesday, Sept. 21. It features the titles, "Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings," "The Escapists," "MX vs ATV Reflex" and "I Am Alive."
"Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings" will be available from Oct. 1 to 31 for the Xbox One. It offers a detailed baseball simulation with customizable players and accurate statistics tracking. It allows for adjustments in difficulty to ensure that both beginners and seasoned players may find something to enjoy about the game.
"The Escapists" will be available from Oct. 16 to Nov. 15 for Xbox One. It is a game that requires strategic gameplay and is played with a top-down perspective. It provides a glimpse into prison life and the various ways that the prisoners can plan their escape.
The off-road racing game "MX vs ATV Reflex" will be available for the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One via backward compatibility from Oct. 1 to 15. It features real-time terrain deformation that changes the racing course from under the vehicles' wheels. The game also features Rider Reflex control system that keeps body positioning apart from machine steering, creating an unparalleled precision that allows the rider to perform death-defying stunts without tumbling into devastating wreckage.
"I Am Alive" will be available from Oct. 16-31 for the Xbox 360. It is a survival game set in a post-apocalyptic city and features a lone survivor struggling to get by on his own while he searches for his lost family. The game does not feature supernatural threats, just the dangers of a decaying world and a society plunged into chaotic lawlessness.
Starting October, the games can be accessed from the gold area on the Xbox One or the Xbox 360. The title will then automatically appear on the "Ready to Install" section. The games can also be downloaded online through the official Xbox Games With Gold page. The games are offered for free only within the given time frame.
