Microsoft is currently working on the enhanced version of the Xbox One console, which the company has codenamed the "Project Scorpio." There have been rumors that Microsoft will be releasing a brand new Xbox console, but it turns out that the Xbox Scorpio will not be too different from the present Xbox One version. The main difference is that the Xbox Scorpio will allow the players to enjoy their favorite game titles in full 4K display.

As reported by the Windows Central, several Xbox One titles are now being rumored to be playable in the yet-to-be-revealed Xbox Scorpio version. However, the gamers can enjoy these classic Xbox video games in crystal clear resolution. For one, "Gear of War 4" is being slated to run at full 4K resolution thanks to the Project Scorpio's special hardware technology. Likewise, the Xbox Scorpio is also expected to run the  4K Windows 10 Store Universal Windows Platform (UWP) game titles with its own native settings. This means that the users do not need to use any additional porting device for them to experience the Xbox Scorpio's features while playing their favorite games. In particular, any video game programmed natively for UWP on Windows 10 can still run perfectly in the Xbox Project Scorpio with very limited amount of changes.

Aside from "Gears of War 4," other popular Xbox One titles such as "ReCore," "Rise of the Tomb Raider," "Forza Horizon 3" and the latest "Call of Duty" installment will also be playable in the Xbox Scorpio with its full 4K and virtual reality (VR) features enabled.

Meanwhile, Tech Radar reported that the Xbox Scorpio does not have its own virtual reality headset, just like the PlayStation VR for Sony's PlayStation 4 console. However, Microsoft may create the Xbox Scorpio to be compatible with other existing VR headsets such as Oculus Rift or HTC Vive. As per Mobipicker, the Xbox Project Scorpio will be five times more powerful that the current Xbox One version, being able to render visual details at 60 Hz and result in a smoother gaming experience with very minimal lagging on TV screen.
