Xiaomi Mi 5c release date and latest news: two variants expected to come out on Dec. 6

It was just recently that Xiaomi was rumored to be developing the Xiaomi Mi 5c and an alleged leaked has circulated online to show the specs. After the leak, news surfaced that the company is releasing the device on Dec. 6.

Though the company has yet to announce the date, AndroidPure reported that Xiaomi Mi 5c will be launched on Dec. 6 at an event that will be held in China on the said date. Before the news emerged, there have been speculations that Xiaomi Mi 5c will be launched on Dec. 12. The two dates are not too far away so it is just a matter of time before the public sees what the anticipated handset has to offer.

Xiaomi Mi 5c is said to have an affordable price tag, but two possible prices are seen. Some enthusiasts say that the price of the device could be around $145 while others believe that it is pricier at $217. This could coincide with another long-standing rumor that Xiaomi Mi 5c will be released in two variants: 5.2-inch display and 5.5-inch display.

Reports on the specs of Xiaomi Mi 5c remain scarce even if it is supposed to be released in a few days. Rumored specs include either a 3 GB or 4 GB of random-access memory (RAM), alongside a 64 GB of built-in storage. The rear camera is believed to be at 12-megapixel (MP); under the hood, it will be installed with a Snapdragon 820 processor.

According to the leak, the Xiaomi Mi 5c may probably run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and may also have a fingerprint scanner. As for the design, it may sport a metal frame with curved edges.

It can be recalled that Xiaomi was also rumored to launch the Xiaomi Mi 5c Mi Mix Nano, but the company debunked the rumor. This may mean that Xiaomi Mi 5c may be released instead of the debunked model.
