Xiaomi Mi Max release date news 2016: New Xiaomi smartphone to arrive in India at end of month
Xiaomi, the privately owned Chinese electronics company, has already announced the arrival of the highly anticipated Mi Max smartphone on June 30 in India. Following the successful releases of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Mi 5 smartphones, the company is hoping to duplicate the success with the release of a new entry-level smartphone in the tight Indian tech market.
The company has been so active lately in maintaining its good relationship with their customers by creating a Mi Community in India. The company started to test the site on June 14 with 500 users. The goal of Xiaomi is to provide a platform where all Mi users can interact with each other. Fans are given the opportunity to join in contests, share their Mi experiences and more. The website is also a good place for Mi users to update themselves with the latest software and flash guides. Fans are also given the opportunity to share photos that were taken using their Xiaomi devices.
Xiaomi users are also encouraged to register online to join in many events hosted by the company.
"The theme for this launch event is "Mi Max Is The New Big". Yep, you guessed it, Mi Max is coming to India and in a BIG WAY! If you'd like to experience Mi Max, along with the MIUI 8 Global ROM, then register now!" as stated by the company in a report by IBT India.
Meanwhile, the device was originally released in China in May 2016. It offers impressive specs and features at an affordable price. The smartphone carries a massive 6.44-inch screen with Full HD display capability. It runs on a Snapdragon 650 chipset by Qualcomm, paired with 3 GB of RAM; however, a higher end model will get 4 GB of RAM for optimal usage.
The device will come in multiple variants– the 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage capacities.
