Xiaomi Mi Note Pro vs Galaxy Note 4 Review: Specs and Features Comparison - Great Battle of the Phablets
Xiaomi is hoping that with the Mi Note Pro it can grab a sizeable chunk of the phablet market which is currently dominated by Samsung and Apple.
In terms of specs, the Mi Note Pro handily beats Samsung's Galaxy Note 4, but only time will tell if its design can outshine that of its competitor.
The Note 4 has outstanding design and comes with a S Pen Stylus which the Mi Note Pro does not have. The Note 4 has a plastic build like other Samsung devices but has a metal band running around its edge and a faux leather on its back panel. Compared to this, the Mi Note Pro has a premium metal frame and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on its front and back panels.
In terms of their display, the Mi Note Pro has a 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 515 pixels per inch. Compared to this, the Note 4 has a Super AMOLED screen measuring 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 515 pixels per inch.
Coming to their specs, both phones run Android operating systems, but the Note 4 comes with v4.4.4 (KitKat) and can be upgraded to 5.0 (Lollipop) while the Mi Note Pro comes with v5.0.1 (Lollipop). The Mi Note Pro also has the latest Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 and Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. The Note 4, on the other hand, has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU.
The Mi Note Pro comes with 4 GB of RAM but with no microSD slot while the Note 4 has 3 GB of RAM and has a microSD slot which can used to add up to 128 GB of external memory.
Finally in terms of price, the Mi Note Pro costs around $599 while the Note 4 costs $825 without a two-year contract.
