With November nearing its end, a lot of "Star Wars" fans are gearing up for the release of Gareth Edwards' highly anticipated "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." Aside from "Rogue One," Lucasfilm has more "Star Wars" films down the line. "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke has recently been cast in the "Young Han Solo" movie.

According to StarWars.com, Clarke will be joining the cast which includes Alden Ehrenreich ("Hail, Caesar!") as the new Han Solo and Donald Glover ("Community") as a younger Lando Calrissian. The site didn't go into too much detail on the role that Clarke will play in the movie, but they did say that her character will help "round out" a full cast of characters that Han and Chewie will meet as they scour the galaxy for adventure.

Clarke is probably best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO hit series "Game of Thrones" but with the show on its final two seasons, Clarke is already prepping herself to star in more full-length films. She has already starred in a few Hollywood movies like "Me Before You." She also played the new Sarah Connor in the latest "Terminator" movie alongside Jai Courtney.

According to reports, Clarke landed the role that was contended by other actresses like Tessa Thompson and Kiersey Clemons. The production was even said to have considered "Game of Thrones" star Jessica Henwick (Nymeria Sand) for the role; interestingly enough, Henwick herself already starred in an earlier "Star Wars" movie, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." She played Resistance X-Wing pilot, Jess Testor.

Though the role may be a mystery as of now, fans can expect more news as the movie moves further into production.

The "Young Han Solo" film is set to come out in 2018.
