Beyoncé's recently released music video for her single "7/11" has taken the Internet by storm. Unlike her usual high-quality music videos, this one featured her in various "selfie"-like settings dancing along with a handful of other women.

The new video for "7/11" gathered over 12 million hits on YouTube in just two days. It is based on the song featured in the re-release of "Beyoncé" for its "special platinum edition." The album, which originally came out last year, is going to be repackaged just in the time for the holiday season this year.

When "Beyoncé" was released last year, it was just loaded onto iTunes without much fanfare. Nevertheless, it quickly went on to sell over 1.3 million copies in three weeks. The "platinum deluxe" version is going to feature two new songs -- "Ring Off" and "7/11." The songs were leaked in their full version earlier last week, which some sources say prompted the release of the "7/11" music video.

The "7/11" music video sees Beyoncé doing the Harlem shake on the balcony of a high-rise with a number of other dancers and also grooving inside a room. She also does yoga and twerks in every room of the apartment which is featured in the video.

The New Daily News, in its review of the two songs, noted that "Ring Off" -- in which Beyoncé sings about her mother and father's divorce -- is much better than "7/11."

"7/11" focuses more on rhythm and has very little in the way of music, but it does feature a lot of Beyoncé's outstanding vocals. Viewers also get to have a brief look at Blue Ivy and Jay Z in the video.

The "platinum deluxe" edition will also feature several remixes from last year's album, including a contribution from Nicki Minaj.
