'Dragon Ball Super' episode 54 spoilers, plot news: Gawasu and Zamasu visits the future, new leak hints Goku Black is a Saiyan after all?

Every week as "Dragon Ball Super" progresses, fans are getting closer and closer to the truth about Goku Black's identity. This will continue in episode 54 "Inheritor of Saiyan Blood: Trunks' Resolve."

This episode will, above anything else, follow Vegeta as he trains Future Trunks to become a fighter powerful enough to defeat the indomitable Goku Black.

The training appears to be extremely intense, and at some point, as seen in the "Dragon Ball Super" episode 54 trailer, Trunks was even seen struggling.

It remains a mystery if Vegeta will be able to shape Future Trunks into a formidable warrior that can finally stop Goku Black's horrifying reign, but fans know he is serious as he slipped into Super Saiyan Blue for the occasion.

However, Future Trunks seem to be determined and if the title of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 54 is anything to by, he might come out a mighty gladiator.

Sadly, as per a leak by Saiyan Island, Goku Black is about to get far stronger with the purported Super Saiyan Pink upgrade, which is reportedly a level up to the Super Saiyan Blue.

It will be exciting to see this pan out in "Dragon Ball Super" as it will further make Goku Black's identity murky. It was always believed that he is not a Saiyan, but the possibility that he can perform this transformation shows he might be after all, despite his hate towards the race.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 54 will be more than just the father and son's training for facing what could be a more powerful Goku Black. The episode description released by Jump Magazine also revealed that fans will get to check back in on Universe 10.

As per the "Dragon Ball Super" episode 54 synopsis, Gawasu and his mysterious student Zamasu will make use of their time rings. The description reads:

"In order to observe what happens to the inhabitants of the planet Babari, the two of them use Time Rings to warp a thousand years into the future! What do they see in the future?!"

According to reports, Goku Black and Zamasu are one. Beerus, Whis and Goku were ready to think that as well until he lost to his brawl with the hero in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 53.

Now, some fans are starting to speculate that Goku Black is Zamasu's future. With his disdain for mankind being emphasized, this feeling might have intensified and led him into a murderous rage.
