'Fallout 4' DLC will allow players to create their own vaults; 'Fallout: Shelter' also gets an update

A new DLC was just released for Bethesda's highly successful free-roam dystopia shooter, "Fallout 4." Named the "Vault-Tec Workshop," the new DLC will let players hide away from the Wasteland and create their very own vaults.

According to iDigitalTimes, the game will allow players to enter a whole new level of construction, with the new DLC letting them build more things to secure (or just pimp out) their bases. They will be able to get armor racks, gun racks, sorting machines, and other things just to make their home in the Wasteland a little more homely. What's more, players will be allowed to build an entire vault for themselves.

The vaults will be aboveground, and players are allowed to build vaults in any settlement they choose. To attract settlers to their vaults, players have to include a radio beacon to their bases, and once the settlers start pouring in, the player will need to have a proper Vault-Tec Population Management System. The terminal will also allow gamers to keep track of all the people within the vault and what jobs they have been assigned to.

Players can also choose to experiment on the dwellers inside their vaults, and have them complete various exercises for the gamer's curiosity. The four main experiments are seen in the story mission, namely Power Cycle 1000, the Phoropter, the Soda Fountain, and the Slot Machine.

Speaking of vaults, Bethesda has also announced an update for its popular "Fallout" app, "Fallout: Shelter." The game has been downloaded over 50 million times, and it gives players the experience of managing their own vault away from the Wasteland. The update will get players to meet new characters and battle different monsters. It also features an all-new combat system and some new locations for players to explore.

"Fallout 4's" "Vault-Tec Workshop" DLC is available now.
