Fantasia Barrino recently made headlines for having turned one of her recent concert performances into a worship service. Some reports claim that it resulted in 10 churchgoers committing themselves to Christ.

In one of her concerts, Barrino showcased her own version of Jonathan David and Melissa Helser's song titled "Abba." Videos posted online by those who witnessed the soul-stirring performance show Barrino requesting the audience to raise their hands to Christ as she led them to worship. At some point during the song number, an emotional and tearful Barrino even went down on her knees.

On Monday, Barrino posted a shout-out to David and Helser on her Facebook page: "This is my ministry. Thank you Jonathan David and Melissa Helser for creating this beautiful song 'Abba' and allowing the Lord to use you. We end our show in worship. #TheDefinitionOfTour."

According to some reports, at least 10 souls were saved at the said concert, which was part of Barinno's tour to promote her "The Definition of ..." music album. The Christian Post contacted Barrino's camp to verify such claim, but her management team has not provided feedback as of report writing.

Nevertheless, several fans have come forward to attest how Barrino's move to use her concerts to lead people to Christ.

Charisma News quotes one fan posting on Facebook, "Man, This girl has ALWAYS BEEN FILLED with the SPIRIT of CHRIST and for those that couldn't resonate, they should check their own relationship and spiritual connection and awareness! She is Not YOUR Mold of Christianity! Every vessel, do your own part and be used in your own way!"

While many are appreciative of Barrino, others appear distracted by her choice of attire at the said concert — a skimpy bodysuit, which some deem inappropriate for worship service.

Barrino has had a successful music career after winning the third season of popular reality TV show "American Idol" back in 2004. Earlier this year, she resolved to use her celebrity to spread the Gospel, and she announced such on her Facebook page.

She wrote, "Bringing in my New Year with Worship was everything to me ... When Yahweh, which is God, who sits high and looks low speaks, I listen. What I've come to realise is my Ministry is right there on that stage."
