Reports indicate that "Girl Meets World" could end with its current season.

In the next episode of "Girl Meets World" season 3, Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) will scheme to sabotage another actress' chance at landing a role in an upcoming film so that her mom could claim the spot. According to the writers of the Disney sitcom, Maya will kidnap a movie star and Riley (Rowan Blanchard) will be selfish.

The episode, titled "Girl Meets Hollyworld," is one of the show's last few episodes for the current season. With no news of a season 4 renewal from Disney Channel, fans are getting worried that the "Boy Meets World" spin-off could soon come to an early conclusion. Many have taken the reported titles of the upcoming episodes in "Girl Meets World" season 3 as proof that Riley, Maya and Lucas' (Peyton Meyer) stories are about to end.

The titles, which were revealed in a Twitter post by the "Girl Meets World" writers on Saturday, Nov. 5, seem to point at the show concluding in January. According to the tweet, the next episode for the current month is titled "Mortimer Twigglebottom Smythe." In December, the episode "A Christmas Maya Carol" will air. In January, the show will air the episodes "World Meets Girl, "Sweet 16," and "Goodbye."

Aside from the fact that "Goodbye" sounds like it will be the series finale, Disney has previously confirmed that it has yet to approve a fourth season for the sitcom.

"With episodes airing on Disney Channel into 2017, there's no news to share yet about a fourth season," a Disney representative told TV Line earlier this year.

But whether or not "Girl Meets World" will continue, its star will nonetheless be busy. Entertainment Weekly confirmed last week that Blanchard has been cast in the highly anticipated film adaptation of the Madeleine L'Engle classic novel "A Wrinkle in Time." Blanchard joins such heavyweights as Reese Witherspoon and Oprah Winfrey, as well as Mindy Kaling, Chris Pine, Zach Galifianakis and André Holland in the Ava DuVernay-helmed film.

Last week, Blanchard shared the news in an Instagram post, writing, "Super thrilled to be joining the exceptional @directher's A Wrinkle in Time (getting to being a part of things that are changing the world)."

Filming on "A Wrinkle in Time" began on Nov. 2. It is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2018.

"Girl Meets World" season 3 airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. EST on Disney Channel.
