'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 episode 12 spoilers, news: Bailey suspends Meredith; Jerrika Hinton not returning after current season

Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) goes head to head with Bailey (Chandra Wilson), which might cause her suspension from Grey Sloan. Meanwhile, Jerrika Hinton, who plays Dr. Stephanie Ewards, will be saying goodbye to the show when season 13 ends.

In the upcoming 12th episode of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, titled "None of Your Business," Meredith will be making a stand against Bailey. The episode synopsis reads, "Maggie (Kelly McCreary) gets a surprise visit from her mother at the hospital. Bailey has to make a difficult decision when one of the attendings refuses to work with Eliza (Marika Dominczyk), and Stephanie gets caught up in Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Amelia's (Caterina Scorsone) personal drama."

As seen from the episode 12 promo, Meredith will not be keen on following Eliza as the latter is the new residency director, but Bailey will not tolerate her behavior. After Meredith comes to Bailey's office, the chief of surgeon tells her to buckle up and get in line, but Meredith stands her ground. This results in Bailey ordering Meredith to go home immediately, which might have put Meredith under suspension.

Meanwhile, TV Line reports that Hinton will no longer be part of "Grey's Anatomy" if the show pushes through with season 14.

Her departure is due to a conflict of schedule since she has landed a lead role in Alan Ball's new drama series on HBO. There is still no word what will happen to Hinton's character and how she will exit the show.

One of the concerns that will also be addressed in episode 12 is Alex's (Justin Chambers) hiding. When Meredith found him in her bed, Alex can finally reveal what happened to his meeting with the judge and why has he been missing since then.

Aside from this, Owen and Amelia will finally face each other and their issues that put their marriage on pause.
