The final form of the latest operating system (OS) for iPad and iPhone devices was unveiled during the Sept. 7 Apple Event along with the iPhone 7 smartphones and Apple Watch Series 2. Months before the event, the Cupertino-based tech giant has already announced the development of the iOS 10 and unveiled the first beta of the said OS at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016 last June.

From June to September, several mobile device hackers and groups had the time and opportunity to study the latest iOS version and release a functional jailbreak tool for it. As of now, it appears that the China-based hacking group Pangu is on its way to release a working jailbreak tool for the iOS 10 full version. According to International Business Times, Pangu may come up with a working jailbreak for the iOS 10 in October, or less than a month after the full version of the iOS 10 was revealed. This may be possible as the group already presented how they were able to jailbreak an iPhone running the iOS 10 beta.

Specifically, Pangu has jailbroken the first beta of the iOS 10 as demonstrated in the Mobile Security Conference held in Shanghai, China last July. This sparked the rumors that the group may also succeed in developing a working jailbreak system for the final iOS 10 version, although there are no confirmed reports that Pangu is currently creating the said jailbreak tool. Recently, Pangu has released the jailbreak tools for the iOS 9.3.3 and 9.3.4 versions, but were shortly countered by Apple's iOS 9.3.5 update, Mac World reported.

Aside from Pangu, a known Italian hacker, Luca Todesco, was also successful in jailbreaking the Beta 8 version of iOS 10, just days before the official unveiling of the iOS 10 last Sept. 7, iDownload Blog reported. Todesco named his own jailbreak tool as "valuX," but upon the release of the iOS 10's full version, it is not clear whether this tool will still work.
