The latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones were only released by Apple a month ago, but there is nothing to stop the rumors to spread regarding the next iteration of the Cupertino-based tech giant's prized flagship device. Many tech enthusiasts are expecting that Apple will make the iPhone 8 the biggest and most surprising version yet, just in time for the tenth anniversary of the iPhone.

According to the rumors, the iPhone 8 will mark some huge changes from the previous design of its predecessors. The recently leaked patents for the iPhone 8 circulating on the internet further prove that the next iPhone model will be very different from the previous units. For one, the iPhone 8 is said to have a new Touch ID Fingerprint Sensor technology as indicated in the leaked patent. With this, the users can expect an altered and enhanced screen wherein an electrostatic lens is added to allow fingerprint scanning.

However, as the iPhone 8 screen can now also be a fingerprint scanning panel at the same time, there will be other adjustments to be done in the over-all design. One of these adjustments is the removal of the traditional Home button as seen in the previous iPhone models. This means that the iPhone 8 might have an all-screen design from top to bottom.

The screen itself is also expected to undergo some major changes, as the iPhone 8 is said to switch from the usual LCD screen to AMOLED panel. It should already be expected that the iPhone 8 will adapt to the existing changes implemented in iPhone 7, like the removal of the 3.55mm headphone jack for the airpods.

Lastly, there are also speculations that the iPhone 8 will have a bezel-free design. Express UK reported that the iPhone 8 may have its ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, front speaker and the front-facing selfie camera all incorporated to the screen instead to the bezel. This will be designed in such a way that the supposed functions of the touch screen display will not be compromised even with the embedded sensors underneath it. Losing the bezel is said to make the new iPhone lighter and slimmer.
