The year is almost over and the remastered collection "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue" will soon give access for PlayStation 4 owners to play the popular fantasy adventure game. Despite previous reports of a possible delay in its release, the collection is still expected to hit the shelves on schedule early next year.

The collection puts together three of the most popular titles in the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise and makes them compatible for the PS4 console. The remastered titles include, "Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD," "Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover," and "Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage."

The upcoming release reportedly addresses numerous complaints about the particular titles limited accessibility, and this collected bundle should now bring the games to a new and wider audience.

While waiting for the much anticipated release of the third main installment to "Kingdom Hearts," fans with access to the PS4 can enjoy the enhanced graphics and optimized features of the titles included in the "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue" remastered collection, which is now available for pre-order on the Square Enix online store at $59.99.

The collection will officially be released on Jan. 24, 2017, in North America and Europe.

Meanwhile, the previously released remixes "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5" and "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5" are coming in PS4 compatible formats via an announcement made by Square Enix and Disney during this year's Paris Games Week. The upcoming single-CD bundle includes six more titles from the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise: "Kingdom Hearts Final Mix", "Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories," Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (HD remastered cinematics)," "Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix," "Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix" and "Kingdom Hearts Re:coded."

The said bundle is now available for pre-order on Amazon and is eligible for the online store's free delivery offer at $49.96. The collection officially releases on March 28, 2017, in North America and three days later in Europe.
