The upcoming third installment of the action role-playing video game "Kingdom Hearts" is one of the highly anticipated games today. Unfortunately, until now, official details about it are still kept under wraps. However, many fans are hoping that more would be revealed in the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which will be held from June 14 to 16.

Word has it that the game is set to appear again in this year's E3 event. It was first revealed at E3 2013, which was then followed by a trailer in E3 2015 that revealed some of the gameplay and characters that will be featured in "Kingdom Hearts 3." This led all the more to the speculation that the game will be unveiled this year.

Attack of the Fanboy, however, noted that there's a possibility that the game will not be appearing at all. Developer Square Enix surprised fans after it revealed the latest trailer for "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8." This could mean that the video game developer will focus more on the current game than the upcoming sequel. At the end of the trailer, it showed a little tease for "Kingdom Hearts 3."

It then announced that it will be doing an unveiling this winter. Fans are now wondering if Square Enix will skip "Kingdom Hearts 3" in E3. Whether the game will surface or not is something that fans will have to watch out for.

As for the characters that will be included in the game, rumors claim that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be introducing new Disney worlds. It is said to include "Hercules," "Big Hero 6," "Tangled," "Zootopia," and "Frozen." Speculations also say that Disney franchise like "Marvel" and "Star Wars" will be included.

As of now, fans will just have to wait for the official details and check out "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8."
