Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson dating rumors: 'Twilight' co-stars unlikely to be back together

Kristen Stewart has said multiple times that she is happy with her relationship with girlfriend Alicia Cargile, but there are still rumors going around that she has reunited with her movie boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

According to the latest reports, Stewart and Cargile are no longer together and that the "Twilight" star is rekindling romance with her onscreen partner.

The rumors began when Stewart was photographed without her girlfriend with Mirror UK saying she is "looking glum... despite being completely in love." The pictures, of course, do not tell the whole story.

If Stewart's previous statements about her love affair with Cargile are anything to go by and the fact that the actress publicly stated being with a girl has made her happier, these reports may have no truth in them after all.

Not too long ago, Stewart expressed how elated she was about her relationship with Cargile and how their romance has made the star feel more free and true to herself.

"When I was dating a guy I was hiding everything that I did because everything personal felt like it was immediately trivialized, so I didn't like it," Stewart told Elle UK.

"We were turned into these characters and placed into this ridiculous comic book, and I was like, 'That's mine. You're making my relationship something that it's not.' I didn't like that. But then it changed when I started dating a girl," the actress continued.

On the same interview, she said that being with Cargile made her "feel again." "I think also right now I'm just really in love with my girlfriend. We've broken up a couple of times and gotten back together," Stewart said.

Last month, Stewart said that her relationship with Pattinson was "gross" in the sense that it was forced and was only called for because they make up the biggest movie couple during their "Twilight" days.

"People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product. It wasn't real life anymore," Stewart explained.

As for Pattinson, he has been with singer FKA Twigs since 2014 and there are no signs of the two breaking up. Also, the lovebirds are not exactly the most public about their relationship.
