'Longmire' season 5 spoilers, cast rumors: Netflix favorite casts Dylan Walsh

In the midst of filming for "Longmire" season 5, Netflix announced the addition of actor Dylan Walsh to the growing ensemble of the hit crime drama.

The "Unforgettable" star will play the role of Shane Muldoon, the criminal boss of one Eddie Heffernan, another new character who does not have an actor to portray him yet.

Although Muldoon is a cold hard criminal in every inch of his being, he has taught himself to project a veneer that shows no hint of his ruthlessness, a trait he will put to use very often in "Longmire" season 5.

"Whether fly fishing or cracking down on loose elements of his criminal enterprise, there's an ominous edge to Shane's charming manners," a description of the new "Longmire" villain read as quoted by TV Line.

Walsh's character is expected to be a huge part of the Irish crime family storyline to be tackled in "Longmire" season 5, where Walt (Robert Taylor) goes after the members of the said family about a drug-related murder.

The new season of "Longmire" is now in production. Cast member Katee Sackhoff, who plays the role of Vic in the series, revealed on Twitter that they have finished shooting the half of the upcoming season.

"Finishing episode 5 in the next couple days....halfway through this season 5," the actress said to a fan who asked if they are done already filming all 10 episodes.

"Longmire" season 5 episodes were given longer duration as compared to the episodes from the previous season, which means that fans will get to enjoy more action and drama in the next season.

According to "Longmire" season 5 spoilers, a romance will develop between Vic and Walt, although the latter is into Dr. Donna Monaghan (Ally Walker) right now.

In the season 4 finale, the latter two were having an intimate moment when an unseen person crashed the party.
