The Meizu Pro 6 is an upcoming flagship smartphone from the Chinese tech manufacturer, Meizu. It is set to come out in China anytime soon; however, the company has yet to provide official details of the device when it comes to its development and release date. According to reports, the handset will carry a curved design, similar to Samsung's Edge models.

Despite the company's silence with regard to its development, the Meizu PRO 6 has been a subject of numerous rumors and speculations online. According to Mobipicker, the device will run on Helio X25. It is a 10-core processor that is believed to be the first in the world. The publication added that handset has already been confirmed by the company's CEO, Huang Zhang. He revealed that the development of the device is ongoing and the team could no longer wait to launch it.

Nonetheless, Zhang did not provide specific details of the release. According to some fans, the Meizu PRO 6 could be out in the market during the second half of 2016.

Meanwhile, there are reports suggesting that the company's goal is to recreate the success of Samsung on its latest Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. However, there is still no official report if the device will run on an Android operating system. There are speculations emerging that the handset may run on pre-installed software from Meizu.

Critics are saying that the company must have special software, just like the Galaxy S7 Edge, to allow users to get the most of the curved design. It must have quick access to contacts, apps and other features of the smartphone.

Pricing details of the device have already hit the rumor mill. According to reports, the Meizu PRO 6 will be priced at $450 once it comes out. With its cheap price, critics are reluctant if the device will even run on a Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm.
