All-time favorite board game, Monopoly, is going to be revamped to an entirely different look. Hasbro has decided to replace all the classic tokens and open up a poll to allow players to contribute ideas for the new tokens.

It was back in 2013 when avid fans voted for the cat to be used as a token instead of the iron. Hasbro is back with the voting poll once again, but this time, an entirely new lineup of tokens will be voted for. The thing is, the classic tokens may already be replaced, causing the veteran players to be sad about it.

There are 64 designs that fans can choose from, some of which includes a classic phone, cowboy hat, race car and others. This would also mean that the beloved classic tokens, shoe, top hat, cannon, thimble and battleship may no longer be used.

"The Monopoly Token Madness Vote lets our passionate fans choose all eight tokens in the Monopoly game and no token — not even the Scottie dog — is safe," said Hasbro Gaming senior vice president for marketing.

"Only time will tell if fans will decide to stay with the classics, keep a few favorites or pick an entirely new lineup of tokens," he added.

Avid fans of Monopoly witnessed the popular board game with different tokens from the time it was released in 1930. The game was first revamped in 1935 when game designer Charles Darrow thought about using tokens from the small items that could be found in the players' home.

Hasbro will announce the eight tokens who got the most votes on March 19 as a celebration of World Monopoly Day. The announcement will come with the release of a new Monopoly version, which already includes the winning tokens.

The Monopoly Token Madness vote can be accessed via the VoteMonopoly.com. The vote opens on Jan. 31.
