Motorola already introduced the Moto Z, the Moto G4 and the Moto E3 this year. However, reports suggested that the company isn't quite done for the year. Details of a new phone called Motorola Moto M were leaked online. If the assumptions are correct, the phone will be the final item in the 2016 lineup.

Sources said that the Motorola Moto M details were certified by the Chinese telecommunication authority TENAA. which revealed the phone's design as well as its specs.

The TENAA listing revealed that the device will have a metal body with a 5.5-inch screen, and a fingerprint scanner at the back. The smartphone will also have dual sim capacity and LTE network connectivity. According to the report, the phone will have the Android 7.0 Nougat for its operating system. Moreover, the phone will also come with a 3,000 mAh battery.

On the other hand, GFXBench reportedly shared information that could have been about the Motorola Moto M unit. However, the specs were different from the ones listed by TENAA. According to GFXBench, the smartphone will have a 4.6-inch screen with a 1080p display. The model will have 3 GB RAM, a 16 MP rear camera and an eight MP front camera. Sources said that the phone will be available in black and white.

The smartphone will reportedly use a Mediatek MT6750 chipset with a quad-core processor and a Mali T860MP2 GPU unit. The phone will have an IPS LCD panel with 479 pixels per inch.

Some speculated that the upcoming Motorola unit could be a combination of the features leaked by GFXBench and TENAA.

Motorola has not confirmed the launch of another smartphone, particularly the Moto M unit, is in the works. Hence, there are no announcements of a release date. Tech-savvy fans will have to wait for more news from Motorola.
