'Naruto Shippuden' episodes 484, 485 spoilers: Sasuke goes after rogue ninja group, teams up with Orochimaru
"Naruto Shippuden" returns this week with the first of two confirmed episodes centered on Sasuke and his journey of atonement. What kinds of adventures does he encounter along the way and what lessons does he get from them?
While waiting out the brief hiatus that followed the recently concluded "Boyhood" arc, fans of the Japanese animation series have formulated speculations about the upcoming episodes' plot based on the novel "Sasuke Shinden: Book of Sunrise."
If the anime were to follow the source material, "Naruto Shippuden" episode 484 titled "Book of Sunrise: The Detonating Man," may find Sasuke accepting a covert mission from the Sixth Hokage, Kakashi, regarding the mysterious disappearances of ninjas from the villages. While in the Land of Hot Water, a village elder mistakes him for a member of the Dark Thunder, a rogue ninja group that has been committing crimes in Sasuke's name. He goes out and finds the leader of the group, Karyu, but before Sasuke could interrogate him, the rogue ninja was set on fire by one of the vengeful villagers.
The next episode titled "Book of Sunrise: Coliseum," may send Sasuke to Orochimaru's hideout and the two of them make their way to an island where they find the answer to the mysterious disappearances in a fighting arena known as the Coliseum.
The 224-page novel is believed to cover at least four anime episodes, although only two have been scheduled to air at the moment. Additionally, two more Naruto-inspired novels are also going to be adapted into anime after Sasuke's upcoming arc. "Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding" reportedly tells the story of Naruto and Hinata's nuptials, while "Shikamaru Hiden: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness" features Shikamaru's investigations into Gengo, the Land of Silence's leader who poses a brand new threat to Konoha.
"Naruto Shippuden" episode 484 airs on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo, while episode 485 airs on Dec. 8.
