The "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" DLC will be released as a standalone game, which will include its own story mode and a whole roster of characters.

Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki and even Mecha Naruto will be playable along with Adult Sasuke and Hokage Naruto, who will come with movesets from the "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" in which the "Road to Boruto" DLC was inspired.

Momoshiki and Kinshiki will not be playable, but fans are hoping they will be. A legion of fans has reached out to Bandai Namco through the forums.

"PLEASE consider making a last effort and deliver us the experience to play as Toneri Ootsutsuki, Momoshiki Ootsutsuki and Kinshiki Ootsutsuki as PLAYABLE characters we all the fans could enjoy and for we the fans have been waiting. Consider doing it for your loyal FANS, or CONSUMERS, if we are talking about business-related points of view," they wrote.

Other characters who are also not going to be playable in the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto" DLC are Adult Konohamaru, Yurui from the Hidden Cloud Village and Shikamaru and Temari's son Shikadai.
