Recent reports note that there are some information suggesting that Nvidia's upcoming GeForce 1080 Ti is going to sport 10 GB video random-access memory (VRAM).

Game Debate reported that there are yet-to-be-confirmed claims that GeForce GTX 1080 Ti was "spotted on a shipping manifest" with one unusual specification regarding its VRAM capacity. 10 GB VRAM is not the biggest VRAM but there has not been a graphic card released with the same feature, as noted by the report, making it the only graphic card with 10 GB VRAM if the reports are accurate. Nvidia released the GeForce GTX 1080 with 8 GB VRAM while the GTX Titan Pascal with 12 GB.

According to the same report, the 10 GB VRAM feature will possibly require a change in the memory interface from the 256-bit memory bus of GeForce GTX 1080, its successor will need 384-bit memory. The expanded memory bandwidth will make sure for a smooth performance under a 4K display function.

The Game Debate report also mentioned that the shipping manifest includes the price information for the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The price was listed in Indian Rupees but would equal to around US$1,000.

It is also important to note that the specifications of GeForce GTX 1080 Ti have been leaked as early as last August, although, the leak did not mention a 10 GB VRAM.

From the leak that was posted on the Korean site, Hardware Battle, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is said to sport a graphics processing unit (GPU) with 3,328 Nvidia CUDA cores that run at a base clock speed of 1,503 megahertz (MHz) and 1,623 MHz boost clock.

Though it points to the 384-bit memory interface as mentioned above, the HW Battle leak notes that GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will have a standard memory configuration of 12 GB GDDR5 and 8 GB speed per second.

The recent leak, considering that it came from a shipping manifest, might be hinting that the release of GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is near. In a report by GameNGuide, the upcoming graphics card is expected to arrive by January 2017 and will be priced between $700 and $800.

However, official confirmation is yet to be released.
