New adventures of Saitama in "One Punch Man" season 2 are finally being readied to hit the small screen this October, according to the latest news about the beloved anime.
The premiere date for "One Punch Man" season 2 is expected to land around that month, although there's no further information provided about this report.
However, it is believed that "One Punch Man" manga creator Yusuke Murata and studio Madhouse Entertainment have officially started the production for the new session.
While Murata has been a very busy man, he has always been active with his involvement in the anime counterpart of his masterpiece. According to new reports, Murata and his team have been extensively preparing for the production of "One Punch Man" season 2 since last year.
He said last time that for "One Punch Man" season 2, he had to work 10 hours a day to finish up sketches, inked pages and storyboards—a hundred of each—to use in the production.
It took his team almost half a year to complete all that. This effort is part of his promise to make the much-awaited second run of the beloved anime as great as the critically acclaimed debut of the strongest hero known to man.
Reports say that "One Punch Man" season 2 will follow Saitama on his quest to take down his evil match who he fails to knock out with just a single blow as he did to his past rivals.
There are also talks about that the new season of "One Punch Man" will feature a superhero vs. superhero story, which are all the rage today. Rumors have it that the Heroes Association will fight against another organization to be led by Blast in "One Punch Man" season 2.
The core cast of the anime led by Makoto Furukawa (Saitama), Kaito Ishikawa (Genos), Yuuki Kaji (Speed of Sound Sonic) and Aoi Yuki (Tornado of Terror) are all expected to return for "One Punch Man" season 2. The supporting ensemble will be back as well.
As fans await the release of "One Punch Man" season 2, they can first turn their attention to the upcoming launch of the new "One Punch Man" original video animation (OVA) on May 27.
