The relationship between DeMarcus Cousins and the Sacramento Kings has not always been good and it appears that this is the year they will eventually part ways.

At the moment, the Kings are still struggling with a 6-9 record and despite excellent play from Cousins, it has not helped the team move forward and be considered as a playoff contender.

Cousins has openly criticized the franchise about it. This has resulted in a rift between the two parties that is likely to end up in the two separating.

As a result, there are a lot of talks linking the center to a move away from the team. Many believe that Cousins should be traded and that he should move on from a team that does not provide him with the players needed to maximize his potential.

The Kings may also consider going through a rebuild. Trading Cousins will give them a lot of assets they can either use to move players around or to help clear up space for them to be more available to get other big stars in the future.

At the moment, one team that many believe may be possible to catch Cousins is the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics are certainly trying to push for a deep playoff run now, considering that they have enough pieces to make them contenders in the East.

If they push for Cousins, they will undoubtedly have to let go of some of their role players, but keeping Al Horford and Isaiah Thomas should be more than enough to make them a very competitive team if Cousins decides to join the fray.

The Celtics could become one of the elite in the East with the addition of Cousins. Their length and height on the front court with Cousins and Horford will definitely cause problems for a lot of teams if that were to happen.
