'Scorpion' season 3 spoilers, plot news: Walter chases Paige, Toby fights for his relationship with Happy, team goes to space mission

"Scorpion" left off with some of the team members dealing with complicated personal issues. As the story moves forward in the upcoming third season, viewers will see how they will recover from the heartbreaking events in season 2.

The cast and creators of the show were attended last week's San Diego Comic-Con where they teased interesting new details about the third installment. "In terms of what's coming up this year there's a lot of stuff," executive producer Nick Wootton hinted. "You're gonna get resolution on a lot of things. We start off the season, first episode back, is pretty much a direct pickup from about a couple of hours from where we left off. So, we're gonna see what happens when Walter goes up to Tahoe... We're going to actually be taking characters in different directions as opposed to love interests."

Main highlights from the season 2 finale include Toby's failed marriage proposal after Happy confessed that she has a husband, and Walter's decision to chase Paige when he realized his true feelings for her.

According to Toby's portrayer, Eddie Kaye Thomas, his character will go through an "uphill climb to reclaim his love" following Happy's big revelation. His girlfriend may have put him in a very difficult and complicated situation in season 2, but it seems that he will still fight for their relationship no matter what. Happy's husband will finally be introduced and he may be someone viewers have already seen. Meanwhile, Walter heads to Tahoe to tell Paige how much he loves her, but it remains to be seen how she will react to his grand gesture.

Paige's portrayer, Katharine McPhee hinted that the third episode of the upcoming season is her favorite script in the program. The Scorpion Team will head to the outer space, however, the actress did not explain why the team will have a space mission.
