'Teen Wolf' season 6 episode 3 spoilers: Scott continues to search for Stiles; Is Liam the new alpha?

The search for Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) continues in the upcoming episode of MTV's supernatural drama "Teen Wolf" season 6.

In the episode airing tonight, Scott (Tyler Posey), Malia (Shelley Hennig) and Lydia (Holland Roden) continue their search for their missing friend, Stiles. Also, Mason's (Khylin Rhambo) new boyfriend Corey (Michael Johnston) discovers a connection between his abilities and the Wild Hunt.

Sunday's premiere saw Stiles finally telling Lydia about his true feelings for her. However, their romantic moment was cut short when the Ghost Riders took Stiles and erased him from existence. In an interview, executive producer Jeff Davis explained why they only decided to explore the Stydia romance this season.

"It was partly that we knew that these would be the last 20 episodes," Davis told ScreenerTV. "It's the final season, and a lot of it is thinking, 'Okay, what are the things we haven't done? What are the relationships that haven't really gone there yet? Should we go there? Should we go for it?"

"Teen Wolf" may be ending next year, but it will certainly continue to live on in fans' hearts. As Scott prepares to graduate, he must find someone who will replace him as the new alpha of Beacon Hills. While he tries to figure out what to do next, Scott will be grooming Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) to be his successor.

Speaking of TV Line, Davis mentioned that they have always had the idea of moving characters in new roles. For instance, Scott will become Derek (Tyler Hoechlin), while Liam becomes Scott. "We really liked the big brother, little brother relationships that they found themselves falling into," he explained. Davis added that this season will be the hardest for Liam and Corey as they continue to butt heads.
