'Teen Wolf' season 6 episode 6 air date, spoilers: Tyler, Lydia and Malia search for Stiles in Cannan

The search for Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) will be in full force when season 6 of "Teen Wolf" returns with the episode titled "Ghosted" after a three-week hiatus.

According to the synopsis of the upcoming installment, "Scott (Tyler Posey), Lydia (Holland Roden) and Malia (Shelley Hennig) search for clues about the Wild Hunt in a mysterious place called Cannan while Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) and Hayden (Victoria Moroles) take drastic measures in the fight against the Ghost Riders."

It can be recalled that in the midseason finale of the supernatural drama, Stiles was finally able to contact his friends using the intercom in the abandoned train station. He told them to find Cannan, which was one of the towns seen on the station's Arrivals board.

A sneak peek for the episode was recently released by MTV. In the clip, Lydia is seen alone in the locker room washing her hands. She is surprised by the sudden appearance of a woman in the mirror. Lydia becomes curious about her vision and discovers that the mirror is a portal. She enters the mirror and is transported to an unknown territory. Based on her surroundings, Lydia seems to have arrived at Cannan where the residents are having a block party.

Then, in a separate promo for "Ghosted," Lydia recounts to Malia that she has been having dreams about carousels and people disappearing in clouds of smoke. It's possible that her vision in the previous clip could be also be dream that will allow them to locate Cannan in an effort to find Stiles.

In another scene in the promo, the group finally arrives in Cannan. While they were initially hoping to find where the Ghost Riders are keeping Stiles, they come to discover that it has become a ghost town. They are greeted by its sole resident who they later on discover is a banshee, just like Lydia.

The upcoming episode is scheduled to premiere on Jan. 3, 2017. Season 6 of "Teen Wolf" airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.
