It was previously revealed that "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U game is being planned for a worldwide release. "The Legend of Zelda" producer Eiji Aonuma has explained in a video statement as reported by Polygon that the release date of the Wii U game will be pushed back a bit further due to the ongoing new developments. He also noted that the development team is still considering a lot of possibilities for the game which they would like to explore first before coming up with the final version of the game. The Japanese creative producer added that the team behind "The Legend of Zelda" are not very much mindful of meeting up with deadlines as they are with creating a great video game.

The announcement of "The Legend of Zelda" game exclusive for Nintendo Wii U was first made in 2013, and Aonuma revealed during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2014 that the Wii U game will have a target release date in 2015. For some reasons, 2015 had already passed and there were no "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U game launched.

In a separate interview of Aonuma with the Japanese-based "Famitsu" that was translated into English by Kotaku, he relayed more updates to the fans on the status of "The Legend of Zelda," and fortunately he did not give any remarks that the launching will be pushed back once again.

"When we did Skyward Sword for the Wii, at the end stages of development, I was in charge of the characters' dialogue and the in-game text. And, now as well, it's like it was then. I had to work on text today, too," he stated.

As Kotaku reported, Aonuma may be hinting that the game is already in the "end stages of development" and so fans who have been eagerly waiting for the game's final version will have lesser days to wait for the official launch.
