'Vikings' season 4 spoilers, plot news: Aslaug handed brutal defeat as Lagertha settles scores with the queen?
It appears that the second half "Vikings" season 4 will be the stage for Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Queen Aslaug's (Alyssa Sutherland) long-awaited face-off.
During the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2016, Winnick teased during a chat with the Entertainment Weekly what to expect of this inevitable clash.
"It's going to be a catfight. The two power women go head to head," Winnick said. "It's a really interesting scene because you don't expect what happens," the actress continued.
In the first half of the season, which has been nothing but intense so far, Lagertha was basically left for dead, but the tables are believed to turn when "Vikings" season 4 returns.
It is rumored that this showdown won't end well for Aslaug. With Lagertha wanting to be back on her feet after what Aslaug did to her, she is determined to make the queen suffer.
According to reports, Aslaug will end up being badly injured after her battle with Lagertha in "Vikings" season 4 that she will suffer miscarriage.
This is based on a glimpse of her in the Comic Con trailer embedded after the article where she was seen weeping as she lay on the floor with blood in her hands.
There are also rumors going around that Lagertha will manage to kill Aslaug and eliminate her rival to the throne once and for all. This is strengthened by the fact that Winnick promised deaths in the latter half of the season.
Either way, it is speculated that Lagertha will win this battle, whether it is by Aslaug's death or surrender. When "Vikings" season 4 returns, she will also be a very different woman.
Fans will see her in "a different place in her life" in the latter half of "Vikings" season 4. This change will be coupled with a brand new look for her.
As a whole, the second half of the current season will feature more blood, battles and travels. "Vikings" season 4 premieres this fall on History Channel.
