"Games of Thrones" ("GoT") fans will have to learn how to be more patient with "The Winds of Winter" because the sixth book may be delayed yet again.

According to reports, George R.R. Martin's book will not make it out by early 2017. Fans have been hoping the sixth novel to be finished by that time but it seems like Martin is having slow progress in terms of writing, which means fans will be in for disappointment again.

Many hoped that the book will at least come around early next year, just in time for the seventh season of the novel's TV adaptation. However, there is no sixth book, only a sixth season which already ended and now "GoT" fans are waiting for season 7 without "The Winds of Winter" on their bookshelves.

Fans speculate that perhaps Martin is just having writer's block. Some also believe that he may have not been able to focus very well especially since he has been so vocal about supporting Hillary Clinton for president. But since the democratic runner lost the race, Martin was devastated and may have been greatly affected with the results.

The fans' speculations could be right because Martin once admitted on his blog that he has "problems with deadline."

"Look, I have always had problems with deadlines. For whatever reason, I don't respond well to them," he wrote.

Nothing is certain yet regarding the plot of the sixth book but rumor has it that it's going to come with lots of unexpected twists like Daenerys Targaryen giving in to the Targaryen madness. She could end up losing it instead of becoming Queen. She may even potentially end up burning Westeros to the ground with her dragons.

Fans should stay tuned for more updates.
