'24: Legacy' season 1 episode 9 spoilers: CTU goes on lockdown
The upcoming episode of "24: Legacy," "08:00 PM-09:00 PM," will see the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) on lockdown after it is put under siege by the terrorist group of Jadalla bin-Khalid (Raphael Acloque).
This episode may be a throwback to the original "24" series, with CTU facing a direct attack. In season 6 of "24," the anti-terrorism unit was assaulted by Cheng Zhi (Tzi Ma).
The terrorists are led by Asim Naseri (Oded Fehr), who was introduced in episode 8, with Eric Carter (Corey Hawkins) recognizing him and saying he is extremely dangerous. This could mean that he encountered the man while he was serving in the military. It is also unclear if his siege of CTU is a result of him wanting to rescue Jadalla or to kill him.
Senator John Donovan (Jimmy Smits) seeks to reconcile with his wife, Rebecca Ingram (Miranda Otto), over the phone after Henry was (Gerard McRaney) interrogated by Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard), the shady former director of CTU. However, she becomes caught in the middle of the terrorist attack, but she tries to get information from Jadalla. The trailer showed Rebecca collapsing after Naseri sets off an explosion.
Meanwhile, Henry revealed that he was definitely connected with terrorists, although it may not necessarily be the same group assaulting the CTU. He was shown on the footage telling his son, "I covered my tracks, John. They won't find any evidence connecting me to those terrorists." His words may force John to decide to step down from running for president because of his father's actions.
Eric will also have domestic problems of his own, as he will encounter some difficulty with Isaac (Ashley Thomas), who is still angry with him because of his feelings toward the latter's wife, Nicole (Anna Diop).
Episode 9 of the first season of "24: Legacy" will air on March 27, Monday, at 8 p.m. EDT on Fox.
