'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 episode 18 spoilers: Maggie to fight all odds in saving her mother; DeLuca to cause trouble between Jo and Alex

Maggie (Kelly McCreary) will push all boundaries to cure her mother of her cancer and to keep her alive. Meanwhile, DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) has fallen in love with Jo (Camilla Luddington).

Previously on "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, Diane (LaTanya Richardson Jackson) has finally confessed to her daughter that she actually has cancer. After Maggie finishes studying her case, she turns to her half-sister, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), and tells her that her mother is really sick.

In episode 18, which is titled "Be Still, My Soul," Maggie will be pushing and fighting hard to cure her mother, which might cause her to clash with the other doctors.

"When Maggie's mom's health deteriorates, the doctors are at odds over how to treat her. Meanwhile, Richard (James Pickens Jr.) comes to grips with Bailey's (Chandra Wilson) betrayal over the Residency Program," the episode listing on The Futon Critic reads.

As seen from the episode 18 promo, one of the doctors that appear to disagree with Maggie's methods is Meredith. However, the Pierces are determined to beat cancer, and it seems that there is nothing that the doctors of Grey Sloan can do other than support Maggie.

Meanwhile, DeLuca admitted to Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) that he's in love with Jo, which will definitely cause trouble between Jo and Alex (Justin Chambers).

Although there isn't anything happening currently with Alex and Jo as they are taking a break, Chambers confirmed with The Hollywood Reporter that his character still wants to marry Jo.

It is anticipated that Jo will find out about DeLuca's secret love for her in the upcoming episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" season 13. However, whether Jo will continue to work on her relationship with Alex or give DeLuca a chance has not been revealed.
