Baltimore pastor Jamal Bryant on baby issue, other allegations

The Rev. Jamal Bryant has broken his silence on the recent controversies surrounding him. However, he has neither admitted nor denied the allegation that he's the father of a 10-month-old boy to a massage therapist, who also claimed that the pastor had begged her to have an abortion.

"Keep praying for me because unlike others, I actually need it. I appreciate it and I receive it. God ain't finished with me," Bryant asked his followers in a Periscope session Thursday night, May 12, according to Christian Post.

"But when he gets through working with me I shall come forth standing right beside you," he added.

Bryant, a vocal supporter for civil rights and Black Lives Matter movement, hinted many times about what he's emotionally going through but neither admitted nor denied the allegations reasoning that it's now under legal discussion.

The pastor of Empowerment Temple Church in Northwest Baltimore is currently making the headlines after a DNA paternity test result presented to Obnoxious Media showed that Bryant is 99.9999% the father of John Karston Bryant, who was born on July 7, 2015 to a 34-year-old California woman named Latoya Shawntee Odom.

Odom revealed it all to Obnoxious Television through a series of text messages, in which she claimed that Bryant had begged her to have an abortion fearing that he might not survive another controversy. She also accused the pastor of being a neglecting father inconsistent with the $1,100 a month child support he has agreed to.

"Those of you who have been with me you are fully aware that some eight, nine years now, I went through a divorce and claimed all of it my responsibility. The worst mistake you can ever make is to repeat the exact same mistake," Bryant shared. His first round of controversies involved a public divorce with his model ex-wife Giselle Bryant who accused him of adultery and cruel treatment.

The influential pastor who's known for his "flashy lifestyle" is also reported to have fathered two children before his marriage. He only acknowledged one of them after a court battle over child support had surfaced.
