Saeed Abedini, a Christian pastor imprisoned in Iran for more than three years, has safely returned to his family on Thursday in Florida, U.S.

The Iranian-American pastor returned to American soil after a brief stop in Germany, reuniting with parents and sister.

"Saeed will be landing on American soil Thursday evening. He will spend a few days with his parents and then the kids and I will join him on Monday," Naghmeh wrote on social media.

However, while she is happy that her husband has safely returned home, she still asks for prayers for her husband's emotional and mental trauma, and that he would be healed. In addition, she has also shared that as a couple, they had been undergoing tough times in the previous years.

She also said that they would likely undergo weeks or months of counseling, while thanking Reverend Franklin Graham for being by their side all throughout.

Meanwhile, Saeed spoke with Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice, confessing that he felt like he was "born again" after his release from prison.

"Today was like my first day of my life. I felt like I was born again... Like I was born again, again," he told Sekulow, who has been advocating for his freedom for years.
