The ninth season of the TLC reality show "19 Kids and Counting" raked in record-breaking ratings as it showed Jessa Duggar trying on wedding dresses in preparation to her marriage to Ben Seewald in Arkansas late last year.

The show, which premiered Tuesday night at 9 p.m., ranked as the number one cable program in prime time with women, and served as the most-watched season premiere for "19 Kids and Counting" with 3.3 million viewers.

The episode followed Jessa Duggar as she brought several female friends and family members along to try on wedding dresses for her wedding to fiancé Ben Seewald. Although Jessa goes through many dresses, she ultimately chooses a blush Allure gown, prompting some members of her family to question if a bride should only wear white.

"I'd seen some pictures of blush-colored dresses in magazines and I thought that's pretty cool. It's different. It's not just your traditional white gown," Jessa says on the show. "When I saw that one and tried it on, I was like, 'I actually really like this.' It's nice!"

"When I saw Jessa come out with the wedding dress I just was amazed that here we are! I feel like I just blinked and Jessa's ready to get married," Jessa's mother, Michelle Duggar, added.

The young couple also take a look at their first house in the reality show's ninth season premiere. The house has reportedly been passed down through generations of Duggars, first belonging to Jessa's grandmother and then lived in by her older brother, Josh Duggar, with his wife Anna.
