Adrian Peterson Meets with Vikings Management at Houston Home

Adrian Peterson, running back for the Minnesota Vikings, reportedly met with head officials of the Minnesota Vikings NFL team for four hours Wednesday at his Houston, Texas home. 

Peterson reportedly met with Vikings management this week at his home, presumably to discuss his future with the Midwestern NFL team. Peterson was temporarily suspended from the team after facing legal allegations for child abuse when he disciplined his small child using a switch last year.

After Peterson finished his legal process, the Vikings ownership expressed interest in having Peterson return to the team for the 2015 season, but Peterson has expressed hesitation, with some media reports suggesting he may wish to be traded to the Dallas Cowboys this coming year.

Peterson released a statement to ESPN shortly after meeting with coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman on Wednesday at his home outside of Houston, Texas. The meeting reportedly lasted four hours.

"I appreciate Rick [Spielman] and Coach [Mike] Zimmer coming down to see me today. We had a great dialogue and they were able to understand where I was coming from and concerns my family and I still have. We respect each other and hopefully the situation can pan out so that everyone involved is content," Peterson said in a statement to ESPN.

Local news stations were posted outside of Peterson's home to snap a photo of the running back meeting with Vikings management. The local KHOU 11 Sports channel shared a photo of Peterson meeting the two gentlemen with the caption: "Adrian Peterson, Vikings GM Rick Spielman hug it out ahead of meeting at Woodlands home."
