Arizona Cardinals' Jonathan Dwyer Arrested For Headbutting Wife, Breaking Nose
New disturbing information from the NFL indicates running back Jonathan Dwyer of the Arizona Cardinals reportedly headbutted his wife and broke her nose during a domestic dispute back in July.
According to court documents reported by TMZ, Dwyer was reportedly arrested yesterday after a string of domestic dispute incidences that reportedly began back in July.
Dwyer's wife claims in court documents that the first incident happened on July 21st, when she and her husband became engaged in an argument. The wife admits to allegedly biting Dwyer's lip when he "attempted to kiss her and remove her clothing."
After the wife bit her husband's lip, the NFL running back reportedly headbutted her, fracturing one of the bones in her nose. The woman then fled the house, and Dwyer reportedly texted her a photo of a knife threatening to kill himself.
"She said he had threatened to kill himself in front of her and their child if she alerted the police to the assault," the court documents state.
In another domestic dispute incident later in the summer, the couple was arguing again when Dwyer allegedly "punched his wife on the left side of her face with his right closed fist. He also began punching the walls." Dwyer then reportedly threw his wife's cell phone out of the window.
Dwyer was arrested in September for charges of domestic abuse. His recent story comes forth after multiple others incidences of domestic abuse in the NFL, including charges against Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson that he physically injured his son, and a recent security video that shows former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice punching his wife, Janay, in a hotel elevator.
