Ben Carson's Business Manager Says Presidential Hopeful Will Not Be 'Anybody's Slave'
The business manager for 2016 presidential hopeful Ben Carson recently said that the former neurosurgeon will continue to freely express his beliefs, adding that Carson refuses to bow to the media's pressure to be politically correct.
Armstrong Williams, friend and business manager for Carson, recently told Newsmax that Carson will not bend his beliefs to fit the desires of media pundits who criticize the GOP presidential contender for his outspoken opinion on certain topics.
Armstrong noted to Newsmax that recently, some African American media figures have criticized Carson for his outspoken opinion on certain issues. Armstrong argued that Carson will not be "anybody's slave" or "anybody's puppet."
"Obviously, these are establishment journalists, they feel Dr. Carson, who happens to also be an American who is black, there are certain things he should not believe or subscribe to and they don't want him to be truly free and speak what he believes," Williams explained to Newsmax. "They want him to still have some shackles in certain areas."
"Dr. Carson refuses to be anybody's slave, anybody's puppet," Williams continued. "He knows what he believes. He believes he knows what works and what can work better and so he is not going to be defined in some box that somebody can check off."
Carson previously made headlines in a March interview with GQ Magazine when he described President Barack Obama as a "psychopath" who knows he's lying to the American people.
"He's trying to sell what he thinks is not true! He's sitting there saying, 'These Americans are so stupid I can tell them anything,'" Carson previously said of Obama.
