Bristol Palin Defends 'Planned' Pregnancy, Says 'None of Us Are Perfect'
Bristol Palin, daughter of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, has recently taken to social media to announce that her current pregnancy was planned.
Palin took to her Patheos blog this week to dismiss rumors that her current pregnancy was unplanned, writing: "None of us are perfect. I made a mistake, but it's not the mistake all these giddy [expletive] have loved to assume."
"This pregnancy was actually planned," Palin continued, adding "Everyone knows I wanted more kids, to have a bigger family. Believing I was heading that way, I got ahead of myself. Things didn't go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on."
Palin's announcement of her pregnancy comes shortly after the 24-year-old announced in May that she would be calling off her planned nuptials with fiancé Dakota Meyer.
Palin took to Facebook at the time of her cancelled wedding to dismiss "salacious headlines" that claimed her fiancé had been involved with "secret wives" that he had not yet divorced.
"Regarding salacious headlines in recent days about 'secret wives,' Dakota and I discussed our past relationships prior to our engagement. Dakota was legally divorced years ago, as any good reporter could and should have disclosed to readers. As usual, false stories and dramatically written headlines begging controversy should be disregarded, and we have faith that our privacy will be respected at this time by those with decency," Palin wrote on Facebook back in May.
