Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden Wedding News: Couple Exchange Vows In Beverly Hills
Actress Cameron Diaz and musician Benji Madden got married at the former's Beverly Hills home on Jan. 5. Family and friends were there to witness the wedding including Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Samantha Ronson and Joel Madden, according to US Weekly.
Diaz's bridesmaids were Nicole Richie, Drew Barrymore, sister Chimene and assistant Jesse Lutz, the report added.
"We couldn't be happier to begin our new journey together surrounded by our closest family and friends," Diaz and Madden told People. They began dating last May.
The 42-year-old actress had previous relationships with Justin Timberlake, Matt Dillon, Jared Letto, Carlos dela Torre and Alex Rodriguez. On the other hand, Madden, 35, had been linked to Sophie Monk, Paris Hilton and Holly Madison.
US Weekly reported that Diaz and Madden got engaged last Dec. 19. A bachelorette party was held over the weekend, according to People.
The wedding planners were Yifat Oren and Stefanie Cove, who is credited for planning the weddings for Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman, Witherspoon and Barrymore, the report added.
"There is a lot of security and they are trying to keep the wedding hush-hush by telling neighbors that Cameron is having a pre-Golden Globes party tonight. It will start past dark tonight. They are setting things up in the lush backyard," another source told People.
One source was quoted by People as saying that, "It was a big wedding, but they still managed to make it feel very personal. Everyone was excited to be a part of the wedding."
Diaz is one of Hollywood's highest paid actresses. Her film credits include "There's Something About Mary," "Charlie's Angels," "My Best Friend's Wedding," "Feeling Minnesota" and "Shrek." Her last project was last year's movie "Annie."
Madden is the vocalist of the bands Good Charlotte and the Madden Brothers.
