As country music star Carried Underwood prepares for the arrival of her first child, husband Mike Fisher said he and his wife are praying that God guides them in the coming months as they enter the world of parenthood.

"She is having a good pregnancy," Fisher, a member of the Nashville Predators NBA team, told The Tennessean in a recent interview. "Everything has been going great so we're blessed that way and praying that everything will go well for the next little bit."

Fisher added that he and Underwood will both have to find a way to balance their busy schedules with the arrival of their son, due in spring 2015.

"I've always tried to balance things out in life," Fisher explained to the local media outlet. "I think that's important, and obviously kids are going to add a different dynamic that I can't wait for."

As Underwood prepares for the arrival of her new family addition, she has received parenting advice from fellow country music star and lead singer of Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott.

"Carrie and I are really good friends and it was an honest, expectant [and] new mom conversation," the 28-year-old Lady Antebellum singer told People Magazine in a recent interview.

"I told Carrie, 'Don't try to cater the noise thing to the baby because they'll sleep through it,' " Scott told the media outlet. "Eisele started flying and traveling with us at 3 months, so we made an effort to make sure she was adaptable and could sleep anywhere. And I said, 'Let your dogs bark!' I know she loves her dogs – they are her babies too."
