Government-controlled Christian churches across the country are witnesses huge revival, a recent report has found.

The Three-Self Church, a Christian church regulated by the country's communist government, has reportedly seen tremendous growth over the last few years.

According to Breaking Christian News, only the elderly were previously allowed by the government to attend these churches. Additionally, pastors and preachers had to submit their messages to be screened by the authorities prior to delivery.

During these times, Chinese individuals aged 18 and below are not allowed to attend church services.

In recent years, government monitoring of such churches have loosened, and the freedom has resulted in a boom in church growth in China.

Pastor Duan Huilai, together with his wife, has personally experienced and witnessed this immense growth of the communist-controlled Christian churches across China.

"Dramatic changes are happening," Duan said. "God is moving in a powerful way inside these Three-Self Churches."

In addition, Pastor Duan said that God is raising up more people in these churches - both men and women - who want to genuinely serve.

Dr. Zhao Xiao, a former member of the Communist Party, and former atheist, said in an interview that in some churches people need to wait in line just to go to church. He added that some churches have 500 new baptisms every Sunday.

There are two types of Christian church in China: the registered, or the Three-Self churches, and the unregistered, often referred to as underground churches. Unregistered churches have faced persecution from the government, although they also reportly continue to grow in numbers.

This is the first time registered churches have seen an immense growth in the number of people getting saved.
